So every Monday we go to tech! Tech is short for technology, and what we do there is a variety of things, sewing, foods, woodwork and plastics. So in term 1 I did woodwork, our goal was to make a Papa Hou (A Maori word for feather box), we did a lot of work with MDF (medium density fibreboard) to create our box. We made prototype boxes and a key chain. I made my key chain an arrow, I don't really know why. So pretty much after we finished our prototype boxes we got on to our real boxes straight away. We cut wood, sanded it, drilled, glued and nailed things. It was kind of hard. But definitely worth it for the amazing box we created in the end. So in term 2 (this term) we started doing food, we created wraps, pizza towers, hot chicken salad rolls, creamy pasta and last Monday we made pan fried toasties! They all were absolutely DELICIOUS!
