Reading - Week 7 Term 2!

Hello my lovelies. Welcome back! Today I am going to tell you guys about my reading this week, enjoy!

So for reading this week, we started by talking about what senses the characters used in each story. We chose one sentence from the three sentences on a doc our teacher made for us. There weren't many senses on the sentence I chose. Our next task was to read a story and pick out three sentences to use this strategy with. We talked about what we thought each sentence was meaning and why. Here is mine.

So yeah!

I hope you guys enjoy my blog! Have you ever tried snails? Tell me in the comments. Have a wonderful day! Bye!

Maths - Week 7 Term 2!

Hello my lovelies! Welcome back to my blog! Today I am going to tell you about my maths this week. Enjoy

For maths this week we did equal adjustments, or doubling and halving. This strategy was kind of confusing at first, but I got the hang of it after a while. I got really confused on division using doubling and halving because it included a lot of extra steps. Anyways, here is my diagram explaining how to use doubling and halving!

So yeah!
I hope you guys enjoyed my blog! Can you do doubling and halving? Show me an example in the comments! Bye!

Writing - Week 7 Term 2

Hello my lovelies! Welcome back to my blog! We are out of lockdown, so no more lockdown blogs! Woohoo! Hope you all enjoy!

Writing this week was about show not tell. This was pretty fun. Our first task was to make these sentences show not tell.

It was hot

He was sad

The man was stressed

The girl was excited

Now I will give you an example for, He was sad.
The boy sat, alone, wiping his eyes, which now were red, from crying. He stood up and walked away like nothing happened

Our next task was to create a paragraph using show not tell. Here is mine.
I stare into the darkness. The moonlight glows between the tall branches. I unzip the ten a little more, glancing out at the dying fire. I silently step out, cool evening air filling my lungs. I look around to make sure nobody is awake, my eyes roaming around the campsite. Nobody is awake. I stare out at the liquidy, black night sky. I scrunch my nose at the smell of fresh dewy grass mixed with damp trees. My foot finds ground against the crunching leaves outside of the tent, and the breeze blows against my hair, causing it to billow out behind me. I start walking outside, the wind whipping against my neck. Then I see it. Eyes, peering out from the trees. I back up, stretching my arms far behind me for support. I look closer, just to realise they were merely gleams of the pond nearby. I sigh, relieved and also embarrassed by my own stupidity. I sit down by the fire, staring at the pulsating embers. I look up at the night sky, and inhale the fresh late night air. I look around at the night sky, and wish my family was here, rather than my schoolmates. They dropped me off, and abandoned me, like a kitten in a box on the side of a road. I sigh as I sit down in one of the small, overpriced camping chairs. I can see the sunrise going to happen in a few hours, by the position of the moon. I decide that my opportunity is now. I grab my tent and everything inside and hurriedly stuff it into a bag. As I am just about to leave, I hear an opening sound, and I freeze in my spot. I crouch down, hoping to be concealed by the darkness.
“I can see you, Amari” I hear a voice say. I run…

So yeah!
I hope you guys enjoyed my blog today! Can you  give me an example of show not tell? Tell me in the comments! Bye!

Self-Isolation Schoolwork! (Maths)

Hello my lovelies! Welcome back to my blog. Today I am going to tell you about my maths! Enjoy

Maths this week was about graphs again! We focused on line graphs this week, the time graph. My graph was about how much fruit I ate, I eat a lot of fruit most days, sometimes I eat 4 or 5 pieces. Anyways, here is my graph and statements about it.

So yeah!

Thanks for reading! I hope you all are well. What would you make a line graph on? Tell me in the comments! I hope you have a wonderful day! Bye! ❤️

Self-Isolation Schoolwork! (Writing)

Hello my lovelies! Welcome back! Today I am going to tell you about my writing this week. Enjoy!

Writing this week was about writing a short narrative. This weeks writing was really fun! I love to write. We got to choose a pobble image for our inspiration, out of a few the teachers set. I chose to do one about a mirror in the attic. When we were on our meet I felt really intimidated by some of the other stories. But here is a little paragraph from it..

So yeah!

I hope you all enjoyed my blog today! Can you write another paragraph based off of this paragraph I wrote? Try your best in the comments! I hope you all have a wonderful day. Bye! ❤️

Self-Isolation Schoolwork! (Reading)

Hello my lovelies! Welcome back! My lock-down is in level two, so I guess, happy level two!! Anyways, today I am going to tell you about my reading. Enjoy!

Reading this week was pretty fun. Me and another girl had a different learning goal from the rest of the class. It was still fun, even though the others were doing something different. We had to create a Venn Diagram, based off of two books we read. The books I read were about accidental plastics and an oil spill. Then we had to say what was unique about each story, and what was similar.

So yeah!

I hope you guys enjoyed my blog! And remember, please comment! I love reading what you all have to say about my blog! Have you ever seen a shipwreck before? If you have, tell me in the comments! I need to know. Have a wonderful day everyone. Bye! ❤️

Self-Isolation Schoolwork! (Maths)

Hello my lovelies! Welcome back! I am going to tell you about my maths this week! Enjoy!

Maths this week was about graphs. This was actually really easy for me. Our first task was to make a graph out of some information on our site. I had to get my dad to help, because I was kinda confused at first. Then we had to make our own graph, out of our own information. I used a coin toss, but others counted cars or rolled dice. Then we had to make statements on our graphs, we tried to find information, but it was really hard. We ended up using a slide our teacher created for some of our statements. Here are my graphs! (The first one is the data from the site, the second is my own personal one, with my statements)

Yeah! That's it. Have you ever made a graph? Tell me in the comments! Have a wonderful day, and keep safe! Bye! ❤️

Self-Isolation Schoolwork! (Writing)

Hello my lovelies! Thanks for tuning in. Today I am going to tell you about my writing. Enjoy!

For writing we got to write a poem! I love to write poems, and my poem was about "after a party". We used poem writing tools, like personification, similes and metaphors. Things like that. Here is my rhyming poem.

I hope you liked this! It was fun to make. Make a quick poem off the top of your head, and tell me in the comments! Thanks guys for reading. Bye! ❤️

Self-Isolation Schoolwork! (Reading)

Hello my lovelies! How are you all today? I hope you are all great! Today I am going to tell you about my reading for this week! Enjoy!

In reading this week, we got to read a story, because that's what you do in reading. We had a choice between two books, and I read one called Six. This book was a really relatable and a little sad kind of book. It was about a girl who thought her friends were ditching her. It got pretty relatable at the end. Our task was to make a chart, with a main idea, authors purpose, key relationship and how the author has depicted it. Here is mine.

So yeah. Thanks for reading my blog! And once again thanks so much for all of the amazing comments! I love hearing what you guys have to say about my blog. Have you ever commented on my blog? Tell my what blog it was in the comments! Bye! ❤️
