Maths! Term 2 Week 11

Hello my lovelies!

Welcome back to another blog! Today I am going to tell you about my maths! Enjoy..

Maths this week was really interesting. We looked at shapes, and got to create them too! We did 3 tasks this week for maths, as we were learning in our homebases. I am going to share my first task and second task. The first task was about naming shapes. I thought this was really interesting, as we got to look at each shape and the name of shapes too. We also checked out what vertices, faces and edges are for shapes! Here is my DLO.

The second task was making shapes with multi-link cubes. We looked at a diagram, explaining what shape we had to make. We were supposed to do it in colour coordination, but the colours were a bit mismatched, and hard to find multiple of the same colour, without taking it off other people. The next images are shapes we recreated best we could, using what the diagram told us to do.

So yeah!

I hope you guys enjoyed my blog today! Have you ever used multi-link cubes? What did you think of them? Tell me in the comments. Have an amazing day! Bye!

Visualising! Term 2 Week 11

Hello my lovelies!

Welcome back to my blog. Today I am going to tell you about my reading for this week. Enjoy!

For reading this week we looked at visualising using senses while reading. I really enjoyed this task, because I love making pictures in my head. We looked at what senses we thought of while reading a story. Then we discussed what senses we used. For our DLO, we made a table of what senses we used while reading a story, here is mine!

So yeah!

I hope you all have an amazing day or night! What is your favourite book series? Why? Tell me in the comments! Bye!

Making Connections!

Hello my lovelies! ❤

Welcome back! Today I am going to tell you guys about my reading for this week! Don't forget to comment title ideas. Enjoy!

In reading this week, we looked at making connections between text and own life things. I was told to make a connection between books, because I already did a workshop with that task. I chose to read a book about racism, especially with the whole "Black Lives Matter" protests going on. I really enjoy reading about racism, especially after we did our PBL last year, focusing on discrimination. Here is my DLO

So yeah!

I hope you guys have an amazing day! Have you ever tried scuba diving? Tell me how it went in the comments! Bye!

Writing - Week 10 Term 2

Hello my lovelies!

Welcome back! Today I am going to tell you about my writing! Enjoy!

When we did writing this week, we looked at focusing on compound complex and simple sentences, like last week's writing. We looked at some of the sentences from a narrative we did a couple weeks ago, to see if we could improve them. We were shown a table to help improve some sentences. The first thing we did was decide what we used to start the original sentences, then we looked at what kind of sentence it is, a compound, complex or simple sentence. Then we showed the actual sentence, and the reworked sentence. We completed this for today's workshop! Here is my DLO for this week's writing..!

So yeah!

I hope you all really enjoyed my blog for today! Have you ever been to Europe? Tell me where you went, and how much you enjoyed it in the comments! Bye! ❤️

Maths - Week 10 Term 2

Hello my lovelies! Welcome back! Today, I am going to tell you about my maths this week. Remember to comment some blog title ideas for writing, reading or maths. Enjoy!

I focused on doing rounding and compensating this week for maths. I did this last week, and in week seven as well. We looked at doing strategies for multiplication and division, the same as last week. I already understood this pretty good, so I decided to help some of my friends. We looked at doing the DLO, which was pretty easy for me because I already knew how to do the strategy, so I am mainly focusing on helping others with it, like I said before. We had to explain to others how to do the strategy, and show 6 questions for the strategy. So yeah. Here is my DLO for this week..

So yeah!
I hope you all have an amazing day! Have you ever been to a theme park? What one, and would you recommend it? Tell me what it was like in the comments! Bye!

Reading - Week 9 Term 2

Hello my lovelies! How are y'all doing? Today I am going to tell you guys about my reading. Remember to comment some blog title ideas! Enjoy

During reading this week we looked at visualising texts. This task was easy. Although I can't draw on google drawings, which was our main task. We had to read some short sentences with some senses, and decide what senses they used. Then we had to make a task that showed what we visualised in our head, while reading one of those sentences. Here is mine!

P.S: Don't judge. I know this is one of the ugliest things to have ever been created on google drawing so apologies to all of the people I have violated in this blog post.

So yeah!
I hope you all have an amazing and wonderful day! Have you ever watched Radio Rebel? Tell me what you thought of it in the comments! Have an amazing day! Bye!

Writing - Week 9 Term 2

Hello my lovelies! Welcome back. Today I am going to tell you about my writing, and remember to add some comments for titles! Enjoy my blog!

So for writing this week we focused on complex, compound and simple sentences. We got to write a short narrative, and had to include some of the complex, compound and simple sentences. We had to base our narratives off of a prompt we were given, which looks like this

I will now give you some of my complex, compound and simple sentences

Complex:
1. The shark swims away because of the amount of impact, and Kimmi relaxes, laughing.
2. Kimmi curls up in a ball right next to me, because of the cold, still shivering her little heart out.

Compound:
1. I watch her bolt towards me, her feet hitting the soft ground hard, causing sand to fly up.
2.  I say slowly, stopping dead in my tracks, looking down at the water which is slowly starting to climb higher up the rock, as the tide comes in

Simple:
1. I don’t feel any guilt for shoving Rose in the water after Kimmi.
2. I guess I’m on the run now.

Maths - Week 9 Term 2

Hello my lovelies! Welcome back! Today I am going to tell you about maths, but first, happy alert level 1! Also, I need some help with titles for my blogs, If you could comment one title per blog, it would really help me out, because all I want is to make quality content for my lovely viewers! Anyways, enjoy my blog.

Our maths workshop this week was about rounding and compensating. I did this one last week, but I was kind of confused as to how to do it, so I took the workshop again. We focused on how to do division with decimals, but I can't do that well, so it took some time to master. I am really happy with my work for this week! We also focused on using decimals in both multiplication and division. That was a bit tricky. But I ended up doing fine. Here is my work for this week!

So yeah!

I hope you guys have an absolutely wonderful day or night! Have you ever gone swimming with dolphins? Tell me about it in the comments, and I will get back to you as soon as I can. Now remember, give me some blog title ideas, for maths, reading and writing! Bye!

Maths - Week 8 Term 2

Hello my lovelies! Welcome back to my blog! Today I am going to tell you about maths. Enjoy!

So for maths this week, we got to do different strategies, these included, reversibility, place value, proportional adjustments and rounding and compensating. My favourite is place value, or at least my favourite out of these. The questions for each strategy either had multiplication or multiplication and division. These were surprisingly easy once you got the hang of them. We had to choose out of beginner, stepping up or advanced for the level of difficulty. Next we solved all of the equations, and then we made a DLO showing that we understand the strategy of our choice. I will now tell you a few of the questions I answered!
47 x 4
34 x 3
35 x 6
48 divided by 6
64 divided by 8
186 x 4
Give them a go! Tell me your answers in the comments!

Now I will share my DLO! Here it is!

So yeah!

I hope you guys enjoyed my blog today! Have you ever watched the Powerpuff Girls (the theme of my maths)? If so, tell me your favourite character! Mine is Buttercup as you can tell! I hope you guys have a wonderful day! Bye!

Writing - Week 8 Term 2!

Hello my lovelies! Welcome back to another blog! Today I am going to tell you about my writing! Enjoy!

For writing this week, we were tasked with writing a narrative! I love writing a lot! We had a bunch of images to help give an idea for our narratives. Me and my friend planned together, but our stories are unique and diverse. I used a picture of a girl standing on top of a lighthouse, with a border separating her from the rest of the world. Kind of sad. My story is about a main character called Luka who lived on the bottom side of the border. There a two cities, one city on top and one city on the bottom. Luka meets a girl called Aburielle, but Aburielle is from the top side of the city, and they are forbidden to talk to each other. Then they meet a wizard who helps them separate the border, because nobody likes the border.
I really enjoyed beginning to write this story, and I hope I can finish it soon! I will now share the link so you guys can read it for yourselves!

So yeah!

I hope you guys enjoyed my blog today! Have you ever tried writing a narrative? Tell me how it went in the comments! Bye!
