Writing! Week 2 Term 3

Hello my lovelies!

Welcome back to my blog! Today I am going to tell you about my writing for this week. See ya down there. Enjoy!

Writing this week was again about Hansel and Gretel. We looked at these three main points for our first workshop; adverbial phrases, dialogue and complex sentences. These three I have mentioned previously but a sum up on all of them is this, adverbial phrases are adding verbs to sentences so like saying "I hastily walked my dog". Dialogue is pretty much a conversation, "How are you today?". Complex sentences are taking an already dependent sentence like, "I drink milk", and making it complex by adding "out of a cup" which doesn't make sense on its own, but together it makes sense. "I drink milk, out of a cup"

After that, we made our own endings for Hansel and Gretel. Obviously with guidance from the teacher, which all people had to have. Here is mine!

So yeah!

I hope you all have an amazing day! How was your school holidays? Tell me about it in the comments! Byee!

Maths! Week 2 Term 3

Hello my lovelies!

Welcome back! Today I am going to talk about maths. Enjoy!

In maths this week we looked at more problem solving. The question I looked at, with my group (Sienna + Petra) was this;

My head was kind of sore after reading this. I'm not the best at maths, so I kind of struggled with this problem, but here was our working, to get the answer. (its the blue theme on the top, also ignore the ugly layout 😂)

So yeah!

I hope you all enjoyed my blog today! Have you ever made a bullet journal? If so, tell me some ideas in the comments! I'm starting one soon. Bye!

Reading! Week 2 Term 3

Hello my lovelies!

Welcome back to my blog! Today I am going to tell you about reading. Enjoy!

For reading this week we looked at doing more of the fantastics. We also had to do a book review about a book, but we had some complications. We were supposed to do one of each of the fantasitcs, because there were slides for each one of them. I and a few other people were unclear that we had to do all of the fantastics, so we only dd the feeling slides 😂💢

I decided to do my book review on the Hunger Games! Here it is;

So yeah!

I hope you all liked my blog today! Have you ever read the divergent series? Tell me how you liked it in the comments! Bye!

Writing! Week 1 Term 3

Hello my lovelies! ❤️

Welcome back! I hope you all are doing absolutely fantastic. I am gonna be talking about my writing for this week. Enjoy!

If you have read my reading blog, you will kind of notice a little similarity from reading to writing. For writing this week we looked at how we could deepen our writing for the better by using the fantastics and other more complex vocab. We had to focus on using more complex vocab and stuff like that. We were frantically writing this down on a doc which is kind of hard to screenshot... Sorry for no DLO ;(

So yeah!

I hope you all have an amazing day/night! Have you ever been scuba diving? Tell me about it in the comments! See ya next time! Bye!

Reading! Week 1 Term 3

Hello my lovelies! ❤️

Welcome back to another blog! I hope you are doing amazing today. Today I will tell you about my reading. Enjoy!

For reading this week we looked at using the fantastics. The fantastics are 9 vocab used in literacy. Each has their own little icon, but means a different thing. They look like this;

The first one is feeling, second is asking, third is noticing (seeing), fourth is touching (feeling), fifth is action, sixth is smelling, seventh is taste, eighth is imagining and last of all ninth is checking/hearing. We had to read a version of Hansel and Gretel, and find each of the fantastics in the story. Then we had to highlight them on google slides, and share back to the rest of the class. After we finished that we moved on to doing the exact same thing except with a different book of our own choosing. I chose 'The three little pigs' and got to work. I skimmed over the story, deciding which page I thought would be good for each, and chose a sentence. Then I made my DLO here it is:

So yeah!

I hope you guys enjoyed my blog today! Have you ever read the three little pigs? I challenge you to give me a review of the book in the comments. Have an amazing rest of your day/night. Bye!

Maths! Week 1 Term 3

Hello my lovelies!

Welcome back to term 3! I hope you had a lovely break, but lets get right into it!

For maths this week, we had to focus on problem solving. The question that me and my maths mate chose was; Is Kaupeka 1/5 or over/under of the school? This question was kind of confusing, until basic maths decided to show up.  My maths mate (Makayla) and I, were kind of struggling to understand, but it ended up fine. The final answer is that Kaupeka is 23 more than 1/5 of the school.

So yeah!

I hope you guys enjoyed my blog! Do you know how many people are at your school or work? Tell me in the comments. Have a wonderful day! Bye!
