Chapas! The Fun Spanish Game!

Hello my lovelies! Welcome back to the second post of the term! Today I am going to share my instructions on the game Chapas. Chapas is a fun Spanish game played with bottle caps, scroll down to find out some more!

Over the past few days, we have been learning about instructional writing. We had to pull a country out of a hat, and that country was the one we would make our instructions on. So in other words, we had to choose an activity from our countries we pulled out of the hat. Upon research, I found a game called Chapas. Chapas is a bottle cap game from Spain, where you flick a bottle cap around  a race track and try to win!
Here are my instructions on how to play:
How to Play Chapas!

Hello! Today I am going to show you how to play Chapas. Chapas is a fun game from Spain, played with metal bottle caps, although plastic works too! Follow these instructions and you will be playing in no time!
You Need!
  • Chalk
  • Bottle Caps (1 Per Player)
  • 2+ Players
  • Paper
  • Colouring In Pens/Pencils
  • Blue or Black Pen
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • A Flat Surface

Your design!
  • Start by taking your bottle cap and tracing with the black or blue pen, the outline on the piece of paper.
  • Remove the bottle cap from the paper and write your initials, with the blue or black pen, inside the outline, and make sure it is near the bottom.
  • Next, draw a logo with your blue or black pen inside your outline, above your initials.
  • Then, you can start colouring in your design with your colouring pens or pencils, inside of the outline.
  • After you have completed your design, cut out the outline with your scissors.
  • With your cut out paper, glue the non-designed side to the inside of the bottle cap, and wait for the glue to dry.

The Rules!
  • On the flat surface, draw a track with your chalk, add a few twists and turns to make it more fun and challenging!
  • Each person takes their turn flicking the bottle cap with their thumb and middle finger.
  • If you get your bottle cap out of the race track, you lose a turn, if someone else hits your bottle cap, you have to go all the way back to the start, and take your turn then, but the fun part is, the same rule applies for the other players, so if you hit them, they go back to the start too!

And now you know how to play! Go have fun playing this on a warm day out in the sun!

I hope you all enjoyed my blog? What fun games do you know how to play? Tell me in the comments! Bye!
