Poems!!

Hello my lovelies! Welcome to my new blog! Today is a VERY special blog! Enjoy!

I am going to share to you about my poem. So in reading we have been focusing on poems for our PBL. We read a poem and had to think about what we thought it was, because it didn't mention. This is called inferring. Inferring is when you don't specifically name what you are writing about, but give your reader a a vague idea. You can have multiple ideas on what it can be, which could create a tricky and interesting inferred poem. Then we had to create our own, based on an event that has happened in the past. Here is mine
My house looked bare, not much of a home, I felt so empty, so very alone.
I stepped foot outside for one last time, I guess being nervous wasn’t a crime.
We heaved the suitcases into the car, and I prepared myself for going quite far.
My heart skipped its way right into next week, and I bit back tears from rolling down my cheek.
The car started slowly, making its way down our drive, I wasn’t quite sure how I was going to survive.
I felt kind of woozy, thinking about what was lying ahead, my stomach was exploding with the feeling of dread.
I thought about my life, and my parents and I’s strife.
All the times we fought, and all the bad things I thought.
I thought we weren’t going to go.
All the times I’d said “Please no”.
They’d told me it would be ok, they said I’d like it, however maybe not somewhere, they did admit.
I’d left my whole life behind, it felt like I was walking into a room, blind.
I didn’t know what was going to happen, I just wanted to quit, but I’d have to learn to love this, just a little bit.
My emotions running wild as I see the highway, I wasn’t ready for that to happen that day.
I stepped foot outside into the warm, balmy air, and I still couldn’t see how this was at all fair.
All I wanted was to go home, and be held in my parent's arms, never alone.

This poem took me about two days, and there was a lot of confusion and even more of "wait... what?"s.

I really loved writing this poem. Now what do you think I was writing about? Tell me in the comments. Hope you guys liked reading my poem! See you next time! Bye!
