Camp!

Hello my lovelies! I hope you are well, welcome back to my blog! Today I am going to tell you about camp. Enjoy!

So last week, we went to camp! It was so much fun, apart from the fact that I fractured my arm! Crazy, right? Anyways the activities we did (in order) were: Orienteering, Raft Build, Kayak Singles, Search and Rescue, School Led Activity, Archery, Outdoor Living, Coasteering, High Ropes. They were all so fun! On the first day, we only did one activity, as we had walked up hills and through forests to get to camp. Throughout the day we did three activities. Raft build was my favourite. Most of the activities are explained in there name, apart from Coasteering. This activity is walking along a rock wall, but let me get into more detail. You have to climb down a really steep hill, holding on to a rope. Then you climb around a rock wall over the water. Then jump in. But the only part was, it was FREEZING! On the last night, we did a reflection on: Challenging, Favourite, Learnt and Grateful.
 These were my reflections.
Challenging:
I thought learning to tie knots in raft building was actually really hard! They were complex and quite confusing. It was super fun, but really hard too.
Favourite:
Lots! When a boy in our activity group fell in quicksand, that was really funny. I liked spending time with teachers, friends, my dad, and his friends.
Learnt:
I learnt how to make a homemade stretcher. I also learnt how to survive in the forest by telling trees apart.
Grateful:
For one of the parent helpers, for bandaging my arm, and also the teachers for cooking great food. And especially my dad, for how he helped me all the time.
